Pet Policy

We love dogs. Here's how to bring yours.

Ember Shoals welcomes well-behaved pets. We are an outdoor destination on the water, and we know that for many guests, a trip to the White River means bringing the whole family, dogs included. The following policy ensures that every guest and every animal has a safe, comfortable stay.

Ember Shoals also reserves the right to refuse or remove any animal that poses a risk to guests, staff, or other animals, regardless of breed.

Accommodations

RV Sites

Pets are welcome at all RV sites. Up to 3 dogs are permitted per site. Cats are welcome at RV sites and are not subject to a pet fee, provided they remain inside the RV or are on a leash when outside.

There is no nightly pet fee for RV guests. Guests who leave a documented mess — pet waste left uncleaned or damage to the site — will be charged a $50 cleanup or damage fee.

Cabins

Pets are welcome in all cabin accommodations. Up to 2 dogs are permitted per cabin. Cats are not permitted in cabin interiors due to the risk of damage to furnishings and upholstery.

A flat pet fee of $75 per reservation applies to all cabin stays where a pet is present. This fee covers additional cleaning and applies once per reservation regardless of the number of pets or the length of stay.

Bring confirmation that your pet is current on vaccinations. While we do not require documentation at check-in, it may be requested if an incident occurs.

Pet Rules — All Accommodations

  1. All pets must be leashed at all times when outside your RV, vehicle, or cabin

  2. Pets must not be left unattended at your site or inside your cabin

  3. Please clean up after your pet immediately. Pet waste stations with bags are located throughout the property.

  4. Excessive barking that disturbs neighboring guests is grounds for removal from the property

  5. Pets are not permitted inside the guest lounge, fly shop, or any interior common areas

  6. Aggressive animals will be removed from the property immediately without refund

  7. Service animals are always welcome in accordance with ADA guidelines and are not subject to pet fees

Pet Damage

Any damage caused by pets to a cabin, its furnishings, or the surrounding site will be charged to the guest's card on file in addition to any applicable pet fee. Guests are fully responsible for the behavior and impact of their animals throughout their stay.

Damage will be documented by photos and assessed at current repair or replacement cost. Guests will be notified of any charges within 48 hours of checkout.

Waste Stations

Pet waste stations are located throughout the property, including at the entrance to the RV loop, adjacent to the cabin area, and along the riverfront path. Bags are provided. Please use them and dispose of waste bags in the designated waste receptacles, not in general trash cans or dumpsters.

If a waste station is out of bags or needs attention, please notify the front desk.
