The White River is best experienced from the water. Our john boat rentals give lodging guests the freedom to explore at their own pace — run upriver before sunrise, find your own hole, and stay as long as the fish are biting. First tank of fuel is on us.

Frequently Asked Quesitons

  • No. John boat rentals are available to day visitors as well.

  • You can add a boat rental at the time of reservation or contact us directly to add one to an existing booking. Availability is limited, so we recommend reserving your boat in advance rather than waiting until arrival.

  • Your rental includes the john boat, motor, and the first tank of fuel. Life jackets are provided and required on the water. Additional fuel is available on-site at $30.00 per refill.

  • Arkansas does not currently require a boating license for motorized vessels, but all operators must comply with Arkansas Game & Fish Commission boating regulations. A valid driver's license is required at pickup.

    Guests under 21 must be accompanied by an adult operator.

  • Yes. An Arkansas fishing license is required to fish from the boat. Licenses are available through the Arkansas Game & Fish Commission at agfc.com. Do not leave the dock without one.

  • Rentals are available during resort office hours. Pickup and return times will be confirmed at the time of booking. Please return the boat on time — late returns may affect other guests' reservations and may be subject to an additional fee.

  • You are welcome to navigate the White River within reasonable distance of the resort. We ask that guests stay within safe operating conditions and avoid areas with heavy dam generation or hazardous water levels. Our staff will advise on current river conditions at pickup.

  • Guest safety is the priority. If river conditions are unsafe due to high generation, flooding, or other hazards on the day of your rental, we will work with you to reschedule or issue a credit. We do not issue refunds for weather conditions alone.

  • Yes. Guests are financially responsible for any damage to the vessel, motor, or equipment that occurs during the rental period. A credit card is required on file at the time of pickup. Any damage charges will be assessed and applied after the boat is returned and inspected.

  • Yes, within the vessel's capacity limit. Our staff will confirm the maximum capacity at pickup. All passengers must wear a life jacket at all times while on the water.
